Australian Formula Open: Competitive Open Wheel Racing
Continual evolution of open wheel race car formulae led to the inception of the Formula Race Car Association (FRCA) and its Motorsport Australia NSW Motor Race Championship category Formula Open, giving open wheel race cars an opportunity to compete in their own bespoke championship category and events.
Cars that have originated from Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula Holden and Formula Atlantic, to name a few, can compete in the NSW Motor Race Championship, as well as some selected interstate rounds each season.
Formula Open caters for realistic budgets, flexibility, availability of spares as well as an approachable engineering talent pool – and the category is managed by a committed group of individuals who administer and continuously promote the category.
If you’re interested in competing in one of the best racing caterories on the NSW Motor Race Championship bill, get in touch with one of our committee members. They’ll be happy to answer any and all of your questions, as well as point you in the right direction if you’re on the look-out for one of these amazing cars.
