Giti AFO heads to Winton Raceway for Round 2

A combined field of Giti Australian Formula Open and guest competitors from the Formula Race Cars Association make up the grid for Round 2 at Winton Motor Raceway, Victoria, this weekend (April 26-28).

Representing AFO1 and leading the Giti AFO championship on points is Kyle Evans (#17) who returns for Gilmour Racing after winning the series opener on points at Sandown Raceway in February. Since Round 1, Brisbane-based driver Evans competed in the QLD Formula Ford round at Morgan Park driving the Duratek FFord he’s currently selling.

Second placed Miles Bromley (#4) for Oil Barron Supply sits second on points and welcomes new sponsor Flagstone Property Group. Bromley is joined by fellow Tim Macrow Racing stablemates Ryan Macmillan (#21) and Beau Russell (#22), while series newcomer George Kantzios (#27) also makes the WInton grid for AFO1.

Matt Roseler (#4) in the #4 FT-50 will represent the AFO2 class and welcomes a new sponsor in Valley Landscaping & Earthworks from SA, while AFO4 will be represented by rookies Isaac McNeill (#11) for Evoheat/Volante Rosso in the Tatuus F4 and Jayden Hamilton (#43) for TMR in the Mygale F4. McNeill recently contested Round 2 of the Australian Karting Championship at Puckapunyal in both the KA2 and KA3 Junior classes scoring two 3rd place finishes outright, one in each class.

Live streaming for all 3 races arcoss Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast online thanks to Blendline TV. Today, Friday April 26 sees three private practice sessions run before the event starts proper on Saturday April 27.
